Bank Transfer Day - November 5th

You have one week to help assist in Bank Transfer Day. November 5th, next Saturday, is targeted to be the date when citizens rally together against the corrupt banking cartels. In a powerful move, everyone is encouraged to withdraw their funds and close their accounts at the mega banks.

Obviously, you need to put your money somewhere safe, which is why non-profit credit unions are a perfect solution. For information on local credit unions, check out... FindACreditUnion.com.

Anonymous Says Occupy the Planet

You wanted revolution. Well, here it is.

We can enact real change because of simple math. There's 99% of us and the elites in power are the 1%. We just need the 99% to wake up, rise up, and peacefully demonstrate all over the country so the mainstream media cannot ignore the Occupy Wall Street and 99% Movement any longer, and then those at home whom are pissed off at the system but afraid to take a step outside to join the movements, will finally have a jolt of courage to stand up to the machine.

The mainstream media has ignored the Occupy Wall Street protests. What started on September 17th in lower Manhattan was America's Tahir Square moment. We saw what unfolded in North Africa and the Egypt earlier this year, and now it's our turn.

The first wave of the revolution is upon us. The time has come to shake up the power structure and it begins with the hard-working Americans standing up to the big banks, insurance companies and investment firms that control our crooked politicians.

Thankfully, someone at Rolling Stone put down the bong and turned off the Jersey Shore long enough to pen something about the protests. Check out: Occupy Wall Street: Drawing the Battle Lines.

Anonymous posted a new video, which is trying to help spread the Occupy Wall Street protests to a town and city near you. Their message is simple: "Bring more passive resistance against the machine."

Waffles Report: Anonymous vs. Facebook; This Means War

This is a very interesting article, which describes Anonymous' threat to destroy Facebook on November 5th.

I would think it would be almost impossible to actually destroy Facebook, unless your Google+ perhaps, but I would not be surprised to see a total outage on November 5th. If you are a Facebook Sheep then you need to take precautions.

On November 4th make sure all of your crops are watered and fed in Farmville. It is very important. If the denial of service is prolonged you may come back to find withered crops and dead pigs and chickens. That would be disastrous!

On the good side, this would be a great time to send someone a message that you do not want them to ever receive. Let's say you and your friends want to go to the water park. You know if you call everyone up that the hang around loser nobody wants to go to the water park, we shall call him Waffles, will force his way into the group. So what you do is send a Facebook message to everyone on November 5th, really late at night... and then leave for the Park without Waffles. Since Facebook will be down on the 5th of November you can be all like "Dude, didn't you get our Facebook message?" Do not worry about Waffles sitting alone in the dark crying his eyes out. It's his lot in life.

I hope that these tips will help you survive the day(s) without Facebook. If Anonymous does somehow destroy Facebook permanently then I am not sure what you will do... maybe go outside, knock on your friends door and talk to them?

** Apparently there was an update in the Anonymous Twitter account. As I mentioned above this will probably simply be a quick denial of service attack... or perhaps something more prolonged depending how good Facebook's networking department is.

The Waffles Report: Oh, Oh, Sony!

As reported on The Daily What, the Hacker group Anonymous decided to target the Sony corporation.
After the monster corp attacked PS3 hackers George Hotz, A.K.A. Geohot with an epic legal battle and had the police raid Graf_Chokolo last month, Anonymous has decided to teach SONY "a few important lessons that your mother forgot."
I actually think this is pretty cool.

Sony is a rich ass corporation and the only ones that are going to be embarrassed or hurt here are Sony executives. Sony has been asking for this for years with their stupid law suits and locking down of peoples purchases with their stupid "protection." I think they are one of the bad companies and deserve what they get. Good luck to Anonymous.

Anonymous vs. The Fed

The most famous hacking collective in the world, Anonymous, released their Manifesto which outlines their peaceful revolution with non-violent acts of civil disobedience. They called for the resignation of Federal Reserve head Ben Bernanke and if the Fed balked at their demand, then they'd unleashed something called Operation Empire State Rebellion, which is rumored to be incendiary Bank of America emails that suggested BoA had premeditated intent to deceive auditors and the government.
The Anonymous Manifesto

* We are a decentralized non-violent resistance movement, which seeks to restore the rule of law and fight back against the organized criminal class.

* One-tenth of one percent of the population has consolidated wealth in unprecedented fashion and launched an all-out economic war against 99.9% of the population.

* We are not affiliated with either wing of the two-party oligarchy. We seek an end to the corrupted two-party system by ending the campaign finance and lobbying racket.

* Above all, we aim to break up the global banking cartel centered at the Federal Reserve, International Monetary Fund, Bank of International Settlement and World Bank.

* We demand that the primary dealers within the Federal Reserve banking system be broken up and held accountable for rigging markets and destroying the global economy, effective immediately.

* As a first sign of good faith we demand Ben Bernanke step down as Federal Reserve chairman.

* Until our demands are met and a rule of law is restored, we will engage in a relentless campaign of non-violent, peaceful, civil disobedience.

* In our next communication we will announce Operation Empire State Rebellion.

Waffles Report: A Primer of Hacking

Lately, there has been a lot of news about hacking and hacker groups including the Stock Exchange being compromised and people who think they are smart getting put in their place. I decided to write a little about who is out there and how our government reacts to hacking in general. You can also read a post about my credentials, which I will discuss further in this article.

The top division of hackers is between the designation of White Hat hackers and Black Hat hackers. In general, a White Hat is someone who considers himself an adventurer, a person who travels this vast information highway looking for fun places to visit. He/she does not vandalize these places, and is just there to have a new experience and possibly help others avoid some of the dangerous people. Basically, a White Hat thirsts for knowledge and nothing else.

A Black Hat hacker is someone who hacks because of the power of the situation. He/she has the same thirst for knowledge as White Hat has. I think all good hackers need to have this. The Black Hats take it step further though. Some are just anarchists who try and destroy things. Others use their knowledge for monetary gains, or just to show off to other peers that they're the best and can cause the most trouble.

It is difficult for the public to understand the differences between these groups. I mean, breaking into a system is bad. Period. So, all hackers are bad. However, the lines can get blurred at times, and you need to make your own judgments. . If you get an inexperienced White Hat that causes damage by accident you can say that all White Hats are bad. If Black Hats exploit systems and shut down corporations for a good cause like WikiLeaks' freedom of speech, then are they really the bad guys?

In addition to those overarching types of hackers (White Hat and Black Hat), there are also different groups.

The lowest level group is the Script Kiddies and wanna be L33T hackers. These are people who think hacking is cool and that they are awesome at it. Usually, they copy other peoples hacks and showoff to prove how good they are. They make up the vast majority of hackers and they lack the basic fundamental understanding of systems in order to be really good. That group that is most likely to accidentally shut down a power grid for a city or something stupid like that.

Another group is the Elite Hackers. The Anonymous group is an example of the type of hackers who will rape your credit score, have you arrested on kiddie porn charges, and get you fired from work -- all before they finish breakfast. You do not want to mess with those guys.

Governments employ their own hackers. Some are used to track down groups like Anonymous. Others are terrorists, like the great Red Cyber threat from China. Normally those guys are not as good as the Elite Hackers, but they have access to the latest technology and if you slip up against them, they can move real world forces against you.

I will leave you with one last thought about hackers. Our government sees hackers like people in the olden times might have seen a sorcerer or magician. The government is made up of mostly fat, old, white guys, and hardly any of them have any understanding of technology. They fear the hocus pocus of hackers as if it were a dark magic ritual. The response to this fear has been unconstitutional torture and mistreatment of anyone caught hacking or even accused of it. You should read about the case of Kevin Mitnick, but it might make you want to burn your fucking New York Times rag magazine. A citizen of the United States was imprisoned without trial and held for years in solitary confinement, until his will was finally broken and he plea bargained his way out of jail. It was not the first time that this has happened either. In a lot of ways, I think many of the more destructive hackers of this day and age were formed because of the repressive government torture and subjugation of the first generation of hackers. Righteous indignation is a powerful force.

In conclusion, I hope this helps you to understand more about the layers of society in the Hacker domain. I also hope it gives you something to think about. I tend to consider myself more of a low-level White Hat. I have some issues with Elite groups shutting down whoever they disagree with, however, the rebel side of me cheers them on and I'm amazed at the things they can accomplish. You cannot argue that Anonymous champions causes that tend to be good ones like WikiLeaks and Julian Assange. In the end, much like life, there is a lot of grey area.
