Just a reminder for those whom do not have experience with earthquakes -- the cameraman made three potentially crucial mistakes that could have cost him his life...
Reminder: If there's an earthquake...This website -- U.S. Geological Survey -- is very handy. Because I live in California, I check the quake map every morning when I wake up.
1) Stand inside a doorway or duck underneath a table.
2) Avoid anything big that might collapse like shelves, cabinets, bookcases, and entertainment systems.
3) Stay as far away from windows as possible.
